Our Business team is pivotal in supporting the Delius community which encompasses leadership, teaching & support staff, children at Delius, and their parents and the wider community.

We have an exciting opportunity which has arisen for someone who is conscientious, enthusiastic and well organised !  As our Receptionist / Administration Assistant you’ll join our valued and established Business team here at Co-op Academy Delius.  In your role, you will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties ensuring compliance and safeguarding protocols are adhered to and will provide general administrative support across our Academy.   With a welcoming and friendly demeanour you’ll provide a customer focused and efficient reception service acting as the first point of contact to greet parents/carers and visitors to our Academy and manage the day-to-day telephone and face-to-face enquiries we receive.  You’ll provide general administration support to the Headteacher, Senior Leadership and assist in the day-to-day work of our very busy office.  Duties will be varied and you'll work under the direction and guidance of the Business Manager within school policies, procedures and code of conduct.  You must be flexible and be able to work at either of our sites to ensure the smooth running of the Academy.

  • Can demonstrate excellent customer service, interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
  • Relate positively to children and adults
  • Are friendly, professional and able to work individually and are a good team player
  • Have excellent organisation & prioritisation skills to be able to multi-task and have a high attention to detail
  • Are able to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure applying discretion and confidentiality as required
  • Whilst training of the IT packages in the Academy will be provided you will possess sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (e.g. Google, Word, Excel) and have good grammar, numeracy and accurate keyboard skills
  • Have a positive, can-do attitude, be adaptable and fully committed to the ethos of our Academy
  • Experience of working in a school environment is desirable but not essential.
  • As this role is customer facing in line with the Immigration Act 2016 you must be able to demonstrate fluency of the English Language to the level defined in the Job Description.
