We are seeking to appoint an outstanding colleague to assist EAL students in making exceptional progress in our supportive and forward-thinking academy. The successful candidate will provide in-class support, deliver interventions and develop resources in order to enhance our EAL provision.
The post would suit somebody with a TEFL qualification or previous experience of working in a school or with young adults, who has a keen interest in enabling young people to fulfil their potential.
Applicants must have a good level of literacy and numeracy skills. Successful candidates will be expected to be fully involved in academy activities. Additional responsibilities would be discussed dependent upon the experience and qualifications of the applicants.
The academy, based in Higher Blackley in North Manchester, has over 1,600 students on roll and is part of Co-op Academies Trust.
Co-op Academy Manchester was recently judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted in March 2023. Ofsted said that:
