A new, exciting opportunity has arisen to join our established team of expert primary subject/ aspect Directors at Co-op Academies Trust. We are looking for an outstanding practitioner within the primary phase who has a proven track record of securing improvements in pupils’ outcomes within English across the primary age range. This is a crucial role within our School Improvement Strategy, as we continue to expand this team over time.
The successful candidate will need to know Primary English in detail, including all aspects of the curriculum and assessment, modelling the best practice in English teaching and leadership. Co-op Academies Trust will be committed to developing your leadership skills and this role could be a part of your career path to headship or deputy headship within our Trust. You will already be an expert Primary English teacher and leader who currently teaches. You will be able to demonstrate the positive difference you have made to children’s Primary English outcomes, knowledge and understanding both in your own class and across your school.
You would be working with all of our primary academies and their English leaders on developing the curriculum and provision, improving outcomes across the Trust. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside our wider Primary Director team and, at times, with our Directors of Secondary English to ensure the very highest standards are achieved across the Trust in this crucial subject area. You will be responsible for raising standards and ensuring all academies have an outstanding Primary English curriculum strategy that aligns fully with Ofsted’s expectations and secures great outcomes for pupils.
This is an interesting and exciting challenge to improve wider outcomes across the Trust.
Location: Required to work at all academies across the Trust. This is largely a school-based role, but, where appropriate, some home working is permitted.
