Contract:  Permanent

Hours: 32.5 Term time only

Full time equivalent salary (excluding allowances): £33,366 - £35,235 per annum

The total salary you receive will be £25,319 - £27,344 per annum


We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing teaching and learning across various subjects. You will work closely with teaching staff to deliver pre-planned lessons, to lead small groups  and provide targeted interventions to support student progress and attainment. Additionally, you will assist in planning, preparing, and assessing learning activities to ensure they are engaging, inclusive, and aligned with the school’s curriculum objectives.



Key Responsibilities:

• Lead small group interventions to support students’ learning and development.

• Deliver pre-planned lessons under the guidance of teaching staff, ensuring effective curriculum delivery.

• Provide individualised support to students with additional needs, including SEN and EAL learners.

• Assist in the planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.

• Collaborate with teaching staff to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Support the school’s safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the welfare and safety of all students


Requirements:

• Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role within a primary school setting or intention to complete HLTA qualification supported by the Academy.

• Strong understanding of primary curriculum frameworks and teaching strategies.

• Ability to engage and motivate students, fostering a love for learning.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.

• Adaptability and resilience to meet the varying needs and challenges of a primary school environment.

• Able to communicate effectively with staff, pupils and parents.
