The Role

Are you passionate about education and driven to make a real difference in young lives?

We are seeking a committed and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team within our Key Stage 4 Elevate setting, an internal alternative provision designed to support students who benefit from a more tailored and inclusive approach to education.

During a recent visit, our Elevate setting was described as a place where “a great deal of care and consideration has been taken by leaders to ensure that inclusion is at the heart of their work.”

Rated "Good" by Ofsted (April 2023), our school is proud of the inclusive, supportive environment we’ve built—where every child is valued and given the opportunity to thrive. Our staff are dedicated to delivering a curriculum that focuses not only on academic achievement but also on future pathways and life skills.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students in the Elevate provision
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of learning activities under teacher guidance
  • Support students with special educational needs and help manage behaviour positively
  • Promote engagement, self-esteem, and independence among learners
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents/carers, and external agencies as needed

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with young people, particularly those with additional needs or barriers to learning
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A team player who is flexible and proactive
  • A commitment to safeguarding and the well-being of all students

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a team that truly values inclusion and student welfare
  • Work in a setting where your contribution makes a daily impact
  • Continuous professional development opportunities
  • A positive and supportive school community
