As part of your role you will be working alongside a team made up of 2 Family Support Workers, 2 Councillors and 1 Attendance Officer who are proactive and dedicated to help make a difference to the lives of our students.
Attendance has a high profile in all our academies and we have been working hard to encourage improved attendance for all our students because we believe that every day in school, in the classroom is important for our students to be successful.
As a Co-op Collab Attendance officer, you will work 1 day each in the 5 Co-op Academies in Leeds (Co-op Academies- Leeds, Brownhill, Nightingale, Oakwood and Woodlands). The purpose of the role is to support each academy to improve the attendance of our young people. This role requires you to be proactive, independent and to communicate effectively with parents/carers, young people and school staff and to balance advice and guidance with professional challenge where necessary. This role offers you the opportunity to improve school attendance and support students in overcoming challenges and helping them to thrive.
