The Role

We have an exciting opportunity at Co-op Academy Medlock. We are looking for an Executive Teacher to start January 2026. Working directly with the Headteacher and Teachers you will support to develop and co-deliver outstanding Key Stage 2 lessons with a focus on English and Maths. You will be pivotal in sharing best curriculum practice and a driving force in improving outcomes for children.


We see this role as an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to grow, develop and demonstrate impact, progressing to senior leadership positions in a school, in 2-3 years.  We will provide the CPD and this role will give you the experience to ensure your leadership quality really develops within that time span.


We would be excited to hear from you if:

  • you have extensive experience of effective teaching in Year 6 with high pupil outcomes
  • you have outstanding knowledge of the successful teaching of English and Maths in Key Stage 2
  • you have experience leading a Key Stage and are looking for a promotional opportunity that offers new challenges, greater responsibility, and the opportunity to have a wider impact on developing others teaching
  • you are an exceptional practitioner with a proven track record and are seeking to have a wider influence on other teachers practice.
  • you possess the qualities to grow into a highly effective leader, such as the ability to influence others, be highly reflective, possess an unwavering work ethic, have high levels of emotional intelligence and professional integrity;
  • be a lifelong learner, always striving to be a better teacher, who is personally ambitious and able to pick things up quickly; 
  • want to work in a fully inclusive, diverse and ambitious school, providing a first-class education to our children, where you can really make a difference to young people.
